The Forum is chaired by Founder and Executive Chairman Ricardo d’Avila. It's guided by a Board Members Team, c-level executives from Strategic Partners who act as supervisors of its mission and values. 

Ricardo D'AVILA

WORLD ELECTRICAL FORUM FOUNDER - BOARD CHIEF


DipM Engineer, MBA Marketing & Human Resources, INSEAD International Leadership is the Founder-President of World Electrical Forum. 

Ricardo is an international consultant, specializing in the electrical material sector, with over 22 years’ experience. After working for several years as Product Leader, Strategy & MKT and Market Development for Legrand, he worked ten years for Sonepar, as COO South America and Global Market Director before starting his international own projects & international consultancy journeys. He has worked in more than 40 countries dealing with C-Level decision makers from manufacturers, wholesalers and B2B end-users (industries-contractors-installers-utilities). 

He advises on and provides consultancy and coaching in the strategic and operational aspects of management, digital transformation, channel excellence, marketing, business development, selling and client relationship management.

Experienced CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the B2B electrical industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Sales, Team Building, Market Research, and Management. Strong business development professional with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Operations and Finance from Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.

Instrumental in changing the focus of the company from sales to profit driven, which helped increase the net profits by 300% within 5 years. Currently managing the company with a negative working capital cycle and matrix organizational structure wherein checks and balances are built-in, and no person has complete and singular control.

David GARRATT

After an MA in French and German at Cambridge, David left the UK for Germany where he has been based ever since. He began working in TEFL but soon progressed to a “real” job and was in Consumer Electronics for almost 20 years.

He has been at FEGIME since 2010 and as Managing Director is responsible for all international cooperation, meetings, projects and suppliers.

Steve PRIEST

General Manager of Electrical Supply Corp, a New Zealand based electrical supply company servicing electrical wholesalers. They import products from more than 11 countries around the world.

Steve has worked for 40+-years in the electrical supply industry, holding senior executive roles for companies including Mastertrade and Corys Electrical, Crane Distribution NZ and Sonepar both in New Zealand and Asia Pacific.

Steve is an innovative, strategic business executive who uses his natural leadership abilities, relationship-building skills, and business control experience, to produce superior results for his team and company.

He has completed General, Strategic and Financial management qualifications with Macquarie University, Australia along with INSEAD University, Singapore and France, and has also completed a number of leadership training programmes throughout his career.
